Call to Artists: The Cultural Alliance of Medfield (CAM) invites artists, designers, and creative and culinary entrepreneurs to apply for a Holiday Stroll and Sale as part of the annual town wide Carol Sing and Tree Lighting sponsored by the Medfield Employer and Merchant Organization (MEMO). Applications will be juried.Where: If selected, artists will display and sell work at one of three indoor locations (United Church of Christ, Medfield Library, Zullo Gallery). All locations are within a two block walk, on the same street as the tree lighting and merchants serving hot chocolate outside. This is a well-attended family friendly event showcasing locally and regionally handmade goods.
The Holiday Stroll is free and open to the public on Friday, December 1 from 4 to 9 pm.
Accepted food vendor applicants will then be asked to submit a Temporary Food Establishment Application to the Medfield Board of Health. This can be mailed to 459 Main Street, Medfield, MA 02052. Applications should include:
contact information (name, address, email, phone and website)
applicant type; artisan or food vendor
product price range
product description should include your name/company name along with one paragraph for promotional purposes, with no more than 35 words describing your business, inspiration and product materials.
product medium for artists (jewelry, pottery etc.) or product menu for food vendors ( ingredients, grower location) may be included.
website (in lieu of a website, artists may submit up to 5 images to show the type of work that will be for sale, label images with artist’s / vendor’s last name)
electrical requirements (if any)
accessibility requirements if any (Zullo Gallery is not wheelchair accessible)
Fee: There is a $30 participation fee for accepted applicants due by September 8 to the CAM. CAM does not take a portion of sales. Electricity, and some tables and chairs are available at no charge, artists are expected to provide their own extension cords, display materials and signage. For your convenience CAM has set up a PayPal account to accept payments. This PayPal link will be sent to applicants upon notification.
Promotional Photography: Accepted applicants will be required to submit one horizontal 7 inch by 5 inch photographic image for web advertising as a 72 dpi jpeg file, and one high resolution image at 300 dpi for print advertising. This image is due by September 8. Directions on where to send these images will be sent to applicants upon notification.
